Trust and Accept Your Body Just As It Is Today

Your body has a natural range it works to settle into and function best in — sometimes called a set point — the same way it regulates your temperature or heart rate without you having to think about it. Health At Every Size (HAES) starts from the idea that health isn't a size, and that people across a wide range of bodies can be healthy. Fighting your body toward a size outside that range usually backfires, because your body is built to work its way back to where it runs best. Trust starts with letting it settle there.

A Little Body Gratitude
Tap through and notice what your body does for you, not how it looks.
My legs
For carrying me through today, even the hard parts.
My hands
For everything they've helped me hold, make, and do.
My lungs
For breathing without me ever having to think about it.
My heart
For beating quietly in the background, taking care of me.
My eyes
For letting me see the people and places I love.
My whole body
For showing up for me, every single day, even on hard days.
